Tom had a yellow backpack. He took it on every trip. It had his snacks and his book.

One day, he rode a bus to the mountains. He put his backpack on the seat next to him.

At the last stop, Tom got off the bus fast. He forgot his yellow backpack on the seat.

He ran back to the bus stop. The bus was already gone. Tom felt very sad.

His father said, 'It is just a bag. You are safe. That is the important thing.'

Tom bought a new backpack the next week. It was blue. He liked it too, in a new way.
