Basque B1: Intermediate level

B1 is the independent stage: you can follow the main points of real Basque texts about familiar topics. These lessons use longer texts and natural phrasing, so you meet the language as people really use it.

  • Read straightforward articles and stories.

About 2,000 words and roughly 350–400 hours of study to reach this level.

Around 2,000 words is a good target for B1. The number depends on the language and on which words you choose. Learn the most frequent ones first.
